Project Description:
We were excited when Kairos Fellowship reached out about illustrations of their staff for their website. In addition to being supportive of their work, Jacky (their Executive Director) is a good friend of Cori’s!

In theory the task was a simple one – create illustrated portraits of each staff member, something Cori has done many times. But because of Kairos’ work opposing data centers and tech industry, staff the requested portraits that would reduce their ability to be identified algorithmically. To do this, Cori used a painterly approach that would disrupt photo-scanning. In order to compliment the various skin tones of the staff, Cori did a mini color season analysis for each portrait to create individual complimentary backdrops.
