Project Description:
Over the past three years we partnered with Building Movement Project to create graphic notes for their State of Solidarity series of panels. The series featured panels stacked with powerful organizers and community leaders sharing about their work and wisdoms.

The BMP team is very thorough in their documentation of the conversations and create an audio podcast, transcript, and multimedia suite for each episode, including Cori’s graphic notes. Since 2023, Cori has virtually attended all of the speaker sessions, drafted visual notes during the sessions, and finalized images with the Building Movement Project team and featured panelists. For a few sessions, we worked with translator Carmelo Falu to translate the notes into Spanish, which Cori then re-wrote into the illustrations.

We formatted these graphic notes into 4-6 squares per panel, intended to be shared on social media and digested in chunks. The content focused on capturing key learnings from each speaker as well as ways to take action. Cori uses the same Solidarity Is color set, but adapts the color usage slightly each year.
