Project Description:
This year we partnered Illinois Answers Project on three projects. The largest one was Making it in Chicago, a suite of reporting that details the barriers Chicago residents face on their quest for economic security. For this project, Cori worked closely with the editorial team, meeting weekly over the course of two months to build the visual narrative tying the suite of articles together. Because of the collaborative process, Cori was able to integrate illustrations and iconography to the suite.
Cori also did illustrations for two explainer projects about the proposed quantum computing facility in South Chicago and sewage flooding in Southern Illinois:
